Performance-"The Big Smoke"

In last week at acting lesson everyone had to perform something for students from our college. I did performance with my friend from my class which is Marta.

 The title of performance is "The Big Smoke". Performance was about 2 girls from Tczew in Poland who have come to London to start a new life together.They are a gay couple and were not accepted in their home town in Poland. The first scene takes place in the girl's apartment and is very upbeat with the girls talking about visiting Buckingham palace and Leicester square,and about getting jobs. It ends with the real owner of the apartment coming back(young family)and girls realise they have been scammed and are now homeless with just £60 pounds between them.

 This task was very good exercise for me and I think for everyone because we had to find our selves in certain particular characters.

At the begining in rehearsal Me and Marta had little be problem because we didnt know how to act this text . But after some rehearsal and teacher's advices we knew what we had to do.Also we made some changes in text to make him more realistic and easy to pick for audience. After the performance we got very positive feedback from another students which were watching us. They told us that our acting was really good and realistic.In the future we just have to practise more scripts to become more professional and better actors than we are now .
